looking for stunning hotel/apartment in the lake district for honeymoon?

Geting Married in October and have spent the last 4-5 hours trying to find a decent hotel in the lake district for our honeymoon and to be honest its driving me crazzzzy lol
Im asking on here if anyone has a specific place in mind they can recommend .
yes we are fussy 
our budget caps at £300 per night
we would like contemporary/modren room if possible (most ive looked at look like my nan's house! - very floral etc )
would love a lake veiw or actually be lakeside.
balcony would also be great !
can be hotel or self catering
i suspose it doesnt have to be Lake District but we love the idea of stunning veiws overlooking a lake etc.
i suspose I prolly look like im being a bit fussy etc .. but it is a once in a lifetime holiday ! We were planing to go to Costa Rica but we are unable to fly as my girlfriend (soon WIFE ! ) isnt very well so must be in the UK

Sorry to hear that your girlfriend is sick, but Cumbria in October should be stunning, with all the autumn colours. I also went to the Lakes for my honeymoon, and it was fantastic as we were able to return each year! Sadly that place has now ceased trading.
