Choose The Right Fabric Of Bridal Gown-Part 1
The key to selecting a fabulous wedding dress is in the fabrics. Bridal gowns come in a wide variety of material. The most common types of fabrics used are: polyester or nylon satin, silk taffeta, polyester taffeta, crepe, organza, tulle, and bridal silk. Bridal silk and tulle happen to be the two most expensive fabrics on the market. The most popular and most widely used bridal fabric is satin, which is made out of either nylon or polyester.
Since satin is a synthetic material, it does not breathe well and can be very hot. It is also the heaviest fabric out of the rest of the bridal fabrics, and so it works the best for fall and winter weddings. A flowing satin gown makes for a real show stopper, and is the perfect tradition for your Christmas wedding. Most brides are usually happy with the heaviness of satin, since it is by far the warmest fabric of them all as well.
It is important to think about the fabric you want your gown to be made from. It is also important to think about how the fabric will play into the style and theme of your wedding. Can I use real hibiscus flowers in my bridal bouquet?
I'm not sure if they'll last at all. Do I have to use silk if I want those flowers?
well, my only experience with hibiscus is from the bush I had in my yard. They are absolutely beautiful, but the blooms dont last long. It would bloom in the morning, and the bloom would shrivel up and fall off by evening time. Not sure how they would last in a boquet. You would probably have to put them together the morning of the wedding. you could practice. Get some hibiscus, put them in a small bouqet early in the morning, carry them around for awhile, leave them sitting indoors for awhile, see how well it holds up. Good luck with them, they are sooo beautiful and it would be great if it works for you!
