Bridal Gown Sash?
Does anyone know where I could purchase a gown sash for my wedding dress? David's Bridal is 2 hours from here and I would rather get one online, but the only place I can find it is on ebay but they don't have anything I really like right now.
I was thinking about even making one...but I don't have much experience with the sewing machine quite yet!
A sash is just a piece of ribbon. Go to a fabric or craft store and find ribbon that is the correct color and width and buy enough to make a bow and have the ends hanging where you want them. Ask the people at the store if they know someone who can sew the ends over so they don't unravel. You really don't need much sewing experience since you only have to fold the edge over and sew a couple of inches and if you mess it up terribly you can always start over since ribbon is so cheap. If all else fails you can buy ribbon at Walmart.
