Wondering what paint colors will look best for your rooms? Read some useful tips here and you'll be able to narrow it down!
Pastels and Neutrals
Pastels and neutral colors on your walls can open up a room and create a sense a space and calmness. Neutral paints also create a feeling of calmness and go well with other paint types. This makes them a popular choice for rooms which have an accent wall ion that another wall or ceiling can be painted in a neutral color.
Primary Colors
Bright, casual and informal are three of the best ways to describe primary colors. Be bold and paint a room or accent wall in a primary color or make your childrens bedroom a fun and colorful place with some primary color paints.
Rich and Deep Colors
Sensual and elegant are two words often used to describe deep colored paints. Today, it’s very in style to paint a master bedroom in rich and deep colors such as brown and the ceiling in a light, powder blue. These paint color choices also compliment dark wood furniture.
Earthy Tones
Warm, welcoming and even sensual. If this is what you want for a room then earthy tones are the way to achieve it. Earthy tones are great for basements, kitchens and bedrooms.
Blue and White
Serenity and the tranquility of the ocean- these are moods and thoughts associated with blue and the use of white with blue paint on your walls. Blue is commonly chosen for bedrooms and bathrooms and created a cool, clean look.
Black and White
Black and white color (especially contrasting black and white) suit rooms with simple furnishings and have a sophisticated effect. Black and white is a great choice for a modern kitchen or bathroom.
Browns and Burgundies
Deep, dark colors can create a more neutral atmosphere for bedrooms. These dark colors work well for dining rooms where a feeling of elegance is sought.

How can I select using color range for only a portion of my image in CS3?
I'd like to make a sub-selection within a selection. First I define a selection using lasso or other tool then I use color range to further narrow in that selection. How can I do that?
Do I need to cut the initial selection and paste it into a new layer?
Need to use masks maybe?
I think it is referring to selecting a color (maybe with the eyedropper tool). Then, you use the color guide (if it is not showing - go to window and show it).You will get a range of tones.
